In order to conduct Article 14-1 of Water Pollution Control Act, it’s important to establish analysis method for those pollutants that must be revealed. There are three goals in this project: (1) collecting literatures and evaluating analysis techniques suitable for target organic compounds; (2) checking the industrial raw materials and manufacturing process, and sampling their wastewater to analysis the content and distribution of target pollutants; (3) establishing analysis method for target pollutants and developing standard analysis methods. This project will be divided into two parts. Firstly, the collect and analysis of data about pollutants in specific industry effluent will be discussed. Secondly, we will establish the detection methods related to contaminants we focus on and propose the standard measurement methods according that. Tobe more preciously, the literature review includes the domestic and foreign detection techniques of the pollutants should be disclosed and the suitable detection methods of pollutants in specific industry effluent, especially in petrochemical and chemicalindustries.Moreover, we will not only inventory the use of pollutants in two industries we mentioned above but also collect and test the waste water samples of factories releasing more than 10,000 cubic meters per day, leading to results of the distribution of chemical substances in effluent. Besides, we will set up the optimal testing parameters of target contaminates and analyze the waste water samples. For the standard detection methods, we propose the draft related to twenty-twokinds of organic compounds, containing formamide,2-ethoxyethyl acetate,1-methoxy-2-propanol, N,N'-Diethylthiourea, Triethylene glycol dimethyl ether, 3,3'-Dimethoxybenzidine dihydrochloride,Arbutin, Glycidol, 3-monochloro-1,2-propanodiol,Triglycidyl isocyanurate,Diisobutyl phthalate, Benzyl chloride,2-Toluidine, 2,2'-Benzidinedisulfonic acid,cupferron, Benzotrichloride,4,4'-oxydianiline,methyleugenol,Methyl Isocyanate,Dimethylsulfate,1,3-Butadiene and Bis(chloromethyl) ether.
